We kicked off the day by going for a massive breakfast. There’s no denying that this was my favourite breakfast I had in the city. There’s also no denying the fact that both the sausage, bacon and egg bagel, and pancakes were both mine. Ok, so I should have probably denied that fact, but I certainly do not regret ordering or eating both. shameful, huh?
We then took another stroll through Central Park on our way to visit The Met and came across two other iconic locations…
Any Gossip Girl fan will recognise this iconic wedding location and can instantly picture the gorgeous blue embellished Elie Saab gown. Brb whilst I go binge watch gossip girl for the 3rd time xoxo...
The steps at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where Blair often has lunch with her minions or Serena. Oh, plus it is a museum which is kinda cool, but then again it is a hangout spot for GG which is even cooler, right?
Next stop, cupcakes!
If you’re an instagram fanatic, you’ve probably seen the Sprinkles Cupcake ATM splattered all over your insta feed. Take it from me, it’s worth the girly hype.
When we finally found the pink sign, we were a little disheartned when we realised it was out of order. Cupcake dreams crushed. However, after the hassle it took to find the place, there was no way we were leaving without having got a cupcake from a real ATM machine. I mean, money is nice to cash out but a cupcake when you’re hungry gives you the same satisfaction. We waited whilst the machine reloaded and managed to get chocolate cupcakes, heaven!
After we decided to do spend our dollars and go shopping. AKA, we spent about 4 hours in two shops; Victoria’s Secret and Sephora. It’s safe to say we all did pretty well with our purchases, I may go a haul in a future post, so keep an eye out.
To end our final night in this amazing city, we decided to try out the highly recomended Ellen’s Stardust Diner, which without fail was an astounding sit down meal. Basically, if you’re a fan of musicals, this is the restaurant for you. The Diner is based in Times Square and all the waiters/waitresses are actors trying to make it to broadway, so throughout the dining experience, they burst out tunes, perform on tables, dancing around. It’s truly a feel good experience and the girls and I had a great grease lighting jam whilst stuffing our faces full with burgers, what more could you want?
